7 At 7

This project serves as a capstone to sum up our last 3 years of albums, singles and music in general as a 7 artist team (including the ever changing Snorkel Horn)

The idea was to have 7 songs with 7 stems per song, each artist providing 1 of the 7 stems for each song. One album with all 7 artists.

The only was to go about this was to have each artist come in individually and record their stems one at a time, each artist getting to to be the start of 1 of the songs.

First off Manof came to the studio and recorded about 4 minutes of the Moog.

Song 1 then had 1 stems

Secondly Matt came to the studio and recorded drums for the first song and then started the second song with drums

At this point song 1 had 2 stems and song 2 had 1 stem

Thirdly, Flamingos came to the studio and recorded bass for the first song, keys for the second, and began the 3rd song with bass

At this point song 1 had 3 stems, song 2 had 2 and song three had 1

CJWisemiller was up next and he recorded guitar for each of the first 3 songs and started the 4th song also with guitar

At this point song 1 had 4 stems, song 2 had 3, song 3 had 2 and song 4 had 1

We continued this process until Mike came to do 7 songs at once and then it went through the list a second time having the artists add to the songs they didn't do the first time around

Also since the rule of Snorkel Horn is that it must have 1 new member per release that hasn't been on any other albums, we decided to go FULL SNORKEL HORN and have 1 new member per track.

Once all 49 stems were recorded this sounded like absolute throw up. Everyone playing separate structures, no one was in the same key, it sounded like the instruments were fighting each other.

Jerry took the time to chop, cut, splice, mix, filter, effect, double, reverse, modify and master this thing into what it is now.
